Abstract

Pembelajaran organisasi sangat penting untuk membangun bisnis pariwisata yang tangguh bencana. Pandemi COVID-19 memberikan kesempatan untuk menyelidiki bagaimana bencana di masa lalu  memperkuat ketahanan organisasi bisnis pariwisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi bagaimana bencana masa lalu menjadi pembelajaran organisasi bisnis pariwisata di Jawa Barat. Teori tentang bencana dari Cenat & Derivois dan teori tentang pembelajaran organisasi dari Popova-Nowak & Cseh digunakan sebagai acuan dalam menelaah permasalahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, karena metode tersebut dapat memberikan deskripsi yang lebih mendalam dan kaya tentang “bagaimana” dan “mengapa” berkaitan dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan penelitian seperti tentang pembelajaran organisasi, ketahanan organisasi dan kolaborasi pemangku kepentingan sehubungan dengan pandemi COVID-19 dan berbagai bencana lainnya di Jawa Barat. Ditemukan bahwa modal manusia dan sosial yang terbatas membatasi pembelajaran organisasi mereka, memaparkan kerentanan industri pariwisata Jawa barat terhadap peristiwa bencana di masa depan. Latihan peningkatan kapasitas pemangku kepentingan diperlukan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan bencana dalam mengelola bisnis pariwisata.
